of The Heights School (for interstate delegates), and the history and growth
of computing at the school including subject range and the importance of
computing technology on supporting and extending the curriculum, this

Desmond has a fifteen year history in computing including UNIX, MSDOS, and
the Windows environment from Windows 3.1 through to Windows 2000 server and
Linux/FreeBSD including software engineering, system design and management,
hardware design and management.
His software projects include:
Desmond is Principal Director of Dunhess Pty Ltd., he is a cartographer, providing a mapping service to scientists around Australia for the production of irrigated property management plans. Some 80% of the new vineyard developments across Australia have utilised the mapping service he provides. He also provides a precision kinematic GPS surveying service to produce surface models of properties requiring hydraulically designed irrigation systems. |
